Update Video! Mistakes to Avoid When Buying a New Lawn Mower!
My commercial Husqvarna MZT52 zero turn mower failed at around 100 hours and the support I received was less than ideal! Find a dealer and company that regularly go ABOVE & BEYOND to take care of the customer. I have talked with the owner of Ball Equipment and he definitely wants to make this situation right and make sure that it doesn't happen to anyone else at his dealership. I have never been able to actually speak to a person at Husqvarna. I also share a lot of information I learned from the comments section of my mower video. I made a lot of mistakes throughout this process and I will be sharing some of them and what I have learned to hopefully help others have a much better buying e...

    thank goodness you put this up on RUclips I was just about to buy Husqvarna , I'm talking was going tomorrow, I won't be now I will go with the Toro instead , I hope you get this resolved, I do lots or research on what people like or dislike about manufacturers before I buy and this has been very helpful, I also recommend you tell your story with a google review of the make and model, the amount of people who read these and make a buying decision to buy or not would surprise you , poor service needs to be shared with consumers so they to can make sound decisions

    Check with the dealership parts department to see how many parts they stock for the mower you are looking to buy. Also, check their back ordered parts for your future mower, as well as their customer service. Decide if you want gas or diesel engine. KAWASAKI has one of the best gas engines and Kubota has a very good diesel engine.

    I was a teacher and never made much money and always bought used, small riding mowers. About 10 years ago I broke down and finally bought a new, what I thought was a nice riding mower. I got a 26 HP, 54" Husqvarna and it was nice. In less than 2 years, I was mowing, and the axel broke. It didn't even outlast the battery. Husqvarna would not fix it and to this day I have not been able to talk to anyone from Husqvarna. At the same time, I was having a problem with one of their saws. I used Husky saws for years. After this situation I will not own anything from Husqvarna. Once you buy anything from Husqvarna you will NEVER get any help from them. I now run Echo saws and Have a John Deere mower.

    You done alot of research over what happen to your mower and alot of people learned alot from this I say. Warranty does not always work the way we think it's going to like buying it in the off season,s which reduces months of it there like you said. Other things you mentioned. Lot of your time went into this situation but hopefully your next buy will have good reviews and better luck. All the best to you bud.

    I bought a CT1025 Bobcat tractor with a belly mower from Treasure Coast Bobcat. After 9 hours running it ate the mower belt said I abused it. I complained that the PTO coupler was hard to put on and take off, it was advertised you can do by hand, they told me to use a hammer that's how they do it. I won't let them service it anymore, I trailer it to the next county. To fix the PTO , I dropped it in my part washer and lubed it, you can take it off one handed as for the mower belt, I switched brands it is like brand new after 60 hours. I like the tractor but will not deal with that dealer. I did complain to Bobcat, they did not seem to be interested, Oh well !

    Husqvarna just lost one more customer. Thank you for the warning. Although in these times it may be just as bad at other dealerships and other manufacturers. But I know it’s bad at Husqvarna so there is at least a chance at Hustler so I’ll try them. The post Covid world is not the same. It will take a generation to recover from that scam.

    For a commercial mower you will spend almost twice as much as you spent on the Husky. Look at Ferris, Grasshopper, Gravely, Bad Boy or Scagg for good commercial mowers. I personally have a Ferris and love it. They have actual suspension with coil over shocks. I almost forgot about Hustler mowers as well.

    Hey I'm in your area. Ball-sweat equipment sucks. I bought a Bad Boy maverick 60" kawasaki (new in 2001 when we moved out here). From outdoor equipment in Ray city. They delivered it for free. I bought it in April and they held it for me until I moved in July for free. I have about 65hrs and have only changed the engine oil... I've also graded our 100yrd driveway maybe 15 times with a Dr attachment.

  • @CodyH88
    @CodyH88 13 часов назад

    You made an excellent video at the perfect time for me. I personally just today wrapped up a poor experience with Scag and a dealer. A lot of you went through I went through. Some my fault, some not. I was sold a new 2021 SFC 21 walk behind last year, which was wrong. I should have been sold a 2023 model. Unknown to me, that model had at least one major recall to the drive system. So add one more to your expansive list: check the manufacture date, and then see if anything is a known problem! If the mower has sat for awhile, don't buy unless it's a current model. I had the mower taken in last fall to have the issue corrected, thinking I went to get ahead of this before it gets worse beau the mower was already acting up. Last month the belt was burning up and had a chuck missing. Not good. Scag has never reached out to me, my dealer has been solid but not outstanding, and communication should be better. No way a mower for $2500 be be costing me money right now, but just did. And it's been one month being in the shop. Not even a year in yet on ownership!! So, without rambling too much, you are far from alone. Sometimes it's in our control and other times it's not. Dealers can be very iffy and companies are very fickle with what they cover and don't. Your experience is far to common and the money lost by the customer is understated. I know I can't pay out large repair bills when I shouldn't be, especially if a person is being responsible and following the manual. Again, great video here by a good person that actually wants to help! Less of this type of video on RUclips by the passing year. Thanks!

    Bought a Deer z530r mower a week ago and have used it a couple times. It has the comfort glide seat standard. My yard is 2 acres and not smooth at all. I’m amazed at the comfort and build of this thing. It was pricey at $ 6500 but I’m well satisfied. Best of luck with your mower. I’ve learned through years of experience with farm equipment that anything with that green paint is expensive, but with the customer service and reliability it’s worth it.

    The hydros in most of these riding mowers don’t seem to last. I’ve been wanting a riding mower but afraid of all the longevity issues. I would never consider a zero turn because you have two of these hydros. The problem is they are not serviceable. If they would design it where you could change the fluid and filter they would last

    I'm beginning to realize people just don't care anymore and it's no matter where you go. Customer service is absolutely terrible I know you've been at it for a while but I would keep at it going straight to the company until you got a hold of someone somewhere that would actually step up and help you take care of the problem and make it right. I know there's someone out there that will you just got to find them. On the other hand at the beginning of this season, my mower which was a Husqvarna Rider started giving me problems which it is at 700 hours and I've owned it for many years without any problems. So I can't complain but I started looking for a New mower always wanted a zero turn So after weeks of looking And researching I finally settled with a Kubota z421 zero turn with a 54-in deck. Kawasaki engine from the dealer That was used and previously traded in with less than 100 hours I think I got a good deal. I ended up 5K out the door So hopefully it was a good decision. Time will tell I had looked at the Husqvarna zero turns but I'd heard a lot of bad things about them. That's why I chose to go with Kubota
